Xálima Villa: Art, Nature & Architecture

A house at the Caribbean Sea

Lloyd Wright + Mies van der Rohe + la tradición maya

Designed By Martín Ferrero Architecture
The project is a holiday complex on an island in the Caribbean Sea, near Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. It was commissioned by a Swiss client to create a unique place where nature, architecture and art would become an organic fusion. The client was inspired by the architectural masterpieces of Frank Lloyd Wright's House Fallingwater, Mies van der Rohe's Farnsworth House and the Mayan cultural heritage.

This 26,000 square metre tropical paradise is a symbiosis between environment and art, where steel, concrete, wood and glass are used to create a new architectural style that is as comfortable as possible for modern man. The project was designed by Martin Ferrero Architecture from Marbella (Spain), under the direction of Daniel Martin Ferrero.
