A masterful combination of concrete, glass, modern art, antiques and authentic exotic details in the interior of a Chicago high-rise building. Thanks to the harmonious fusion of poorly combined elements, the interior of a standard apartment with floor-to-ceiling glazing has become warm and comfortable. Design and implementation by Michael Del Piero from Chicago.

Interior designer Michael Del Piero stands out in two ways: her ability to seamlessly fuse architecture and decoration, and to create unusual yet genius furniture placement. This home, made of concrete and glass, is the best example of what Michael does best. She transformed a cold, high-rise apartment into a warm and sophisticated family home.

They wanted a cool space that was centrally located in the city,” says interior designer Michael Del Piero of her clients, a husband and wife who were downsizing from a larger home in Winnetka. The owners found the location first in a northside Chicago high-rise with views looking toward Lake Michigan

 Michael Del Piero:

“The goal was to create a casual yet sophisticated space with an unusual mix of items”
