Home of a Parisian Collector
Cмешение стилей и космополитический дух в обновленном особняке парижскогого коллекционера современного искусства. Дизайн и реализация лондонской студии Collett – Zarzycki
As what could only be adequately described as a Parisian mansion, this project by stellar design firm Collett – Zarzycki is nestled in a complex of jardins, behind a courtyard enclosed by a monumental wrought iron gate. London based Collett – Zarzycki has partnered with Gisele Ghanem Laurent Bourgois Architects for the project in Paris.
Haute Couture refers to the creation of exclusive custom clothing – purpose build for a client. I would describe the interiors that follow such a typically French facade as truly high fashion and bespoke. There is an interesting juxtaposition between the traditional envelope and somewhat retrospective design pieces – styled classically.
The volumes and architectural structures of the lower levels have been preserved, the upper floors have been transformed giving the impression that each flight of stairs leads to a different house almost. High chroma value fabrics upholstered onto vintage pieces sit haphazardly alongside contemporary art on the ground floor and gives a Parisian cosmopolitan soul. A sense of symmetry and ordered composition is realised throughout the rest of the site.
